Meredith Salenger has been a well-known actress over the years. Born in Malibu, California USA on the 14th of March in 1970. Meredith earned around $5 million as of June 1, 2023. Decker's parents relocated to Louisiana during the 90s. Decker won a regional talent show with a version of Patsy Montana's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart at the age of just nine years old. When she was 15, Decker was living in Georgia. Once she began writing frequently, she travelled to Nashville and visited music companies as well as record labels in hope of securing a contract. In 1997, she had been turning 17 when a Big Yellow Dog Records rep heard her. He began to sell her songs as well as music to numerous artists and record labels. The moment Mercury Records president David Massey saw the demos of Decker, he sent the songs on to L.A. Reid head of the affiliated Island/Def Jam label group and Reid has signed her to an agreement with a record label. Her first album a self-titled effort under the moniker Jessie James arrived in August 2009. Jessie James, which featured Wanted as a hit single in the Top 40 Singles Charts was moderately successful. Decker was always viewed as a singer from the country genre however, the album's promotion and production was designed to appeal to an audience more influenced by pop. Two more singles off the album, Decker struggled with the label's management for more control over her music and the next track Boys in the Summer was a more country-oriented release. The second album that Decker released under the titles of Daughter of a Gypsy or Sweet American Dreams was shelved by Mercury and after three singles did poorly on the country charts Decker was released from her contract.
