Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic occasion. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would become the Romanian gymnastics coach. The year 1969 was the first time she participated in the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she was the all-around junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female to ever dismount bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol's career began in entertainment as a teenager. She started her career as a model skater with her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows named Ice Capades. These shows included ice skating performances that were performed to music from the stage.
