Katherine Heigl has opened up about being raised living in "a White bubble." She also shares how this experience has affected the parenting style of her adoptees who are multi-racial. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recent interview that, when it comes to the color of her skin, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. If I inquired of Meg about how she was treated at public events, whether regardless of whether we were with our parents, she said it was different. She replied: 'Oh yes, every time!' Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." According to the actress, she was angry. She wanted to channel that anger towards helping her adopted girls. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son with her 13-year wife, Josh Kelley. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old young and Black as of 2012.
